Penglibatan Ibu Bapa / Keluarga Dalam Pembelajaran Sains Awal – Bagaimanakah Meningkatkan Sumbangan Mereka?

Abstract

Pengetahuan konsep dan kemahiran proses sains di peringkat awal kanak-kanak amat memerlukan penumpuan dan kesinambungan proses secara berterusan. Pembelajaran sains awal di usia awal kanak-kanak dalam pendidikan informal melibatkan pihak sekolah, guru, ibu bapa / keluarga dan komuniti. Walaupun terdapat kekangan pembelajaran di prasekolah, ibu bapa / keluarga dianggap orang yang terpenting untuk memainkan peranan sebagai orang yang terdekat dengan anak di usia awal untuk menjadi sumber utama dalam pembelajaran sains awal. Ibu bapa / keluarga sebagai individu yang paling rapat dengan kanak-kanak, dikatakan penyumbang kepada pengaruh sosial yang terkuat dalam membantu dan membentuk diri mereka. Walaupun ibu bapa / keluarga tidak dapat melibatkan diri secara langsung dalam pendidikan di sekolah, namun peluang untuk melibatkan diri dalam pendidikan anak mereka masih terbuka luas melalui pelaksanaan pembelajaran informal di rumah. Peluang perlu diberikan kepada semua ibu bapa / keluarga untuk melibatkan diri dalam pembelajaran anak tanpa mengira latar belakang demografi atau sosioekonomi. Secara keseluruhan, kertas konsep ini membincangkan strategi yang bersesuaian dengan mengetengahkan idea-idea untuk membantu ibu bapa / keluarga dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran sains awal; dengan memahami kemampuan dan kelebihan mereka agar sumbangan terhadap pembelajaran sains awal benar-benar berkualiti.
